(+) Coverage ability

Christian Harris is an outstanding coverage linebacker. As a former defensive back, Harris has instincts, footwork, and ball skills well beyond others his position. He looks smooth dropping into zones and measures his depth well. Harris is also adept at covering tight ends and running backs out of the backfield man to man. This rare ability for the position carries even more weight at the next level.

(+) Range

Harris has excellent range. He shows great sideline to sideline speed and often beats lineman and lead blockers to their spots to make plays. He also sometimes shows off this range spying more mobile quarterbacks.

(+) Versatility

Alabama has utilized Harris all over their defense. He's excelled at basically every linebacker position for them. This will benefit him greatly in the eyes of the NFL. Harris can fit any defensive scheme.

(-) Physicality

Harris isn't the most physical linebacker. Listed at 6'2" 232 lbs, he's not the biggest for the position and navigates the run game with a bit more finesse. The good news is that the NFL moving away from bruising linebackers and more towards coverage backers. However, he will have to show his ability and more-so willingness to still battle between the tackles when he needs to.

(-) Selective motor

Harris doesn't always show the kind of motor you expect from players at his level. Sometimes it could be the result of trusting in the talent around him to make plays that aren't in his immediate area. It's not an immediate concern and could very well be something that changes quickly at the next level.
