(+) Size and Athleticism

Incredible quickness for his size. At 6'4" 290 lbs, Leal moves like a true EDGE. That combination of strength and agility is typically too much for offensive lineman to handle on their own. Keep an eye on how Leal tests if he does participate at the combine.

(+) Versatility

Leal can play anywhere along the defensive line. Aggies lined him up at defensive end most of the time but he can play 3-tech, and 1-tech. He can excel at each but he's best at either 3-tech or on the edge. He would excel in a scheme that allows him to get upfield without too many restrictions and without two-gap responsibilities.

(+) Awareness

He has outstanding awareness for a defensive lineman.

(-) Health

Leal has dealt with nagging injuries throughout his time at Texas A&M. He hasn't really missed much time for any of them, but he wasn't 100% for a good amount of his final year. You want to see him at full go most of the time because it's truly amazing sight.

(-) Power

Typically opts to try to use agility over power and that can sometimes get him into trouble when offensive lineman can get him squared up and knock him off balance.
