(+) Fluid Mover Elam has excellent hips and moves extremely well for any corner, especially one who is 6”2  195 lbs. Elam is explosive and can really affect screens and runs at the line of scrimmage.

(+) Versatility Elam is well versed in man and zone.  He can press man just as well as he can float in zone and that makes him very attractive at the next level. 

(+) Competitive Spirit Elam is a dog at the catch point and in the run game.  He gives you 100 percent every time he hits the line of scrimmage or is in a contested catch situation.

(-) Deep Speed Elam is a very good athlete but I do not think he is the guy you want 1 on 1 with a real speed threat as he struggles with closing speed when a WR has a step on him deep down the field.

(-) Tackling Elam is a willing tackler  but some angles he takes leave you with your head in your hands.  Need to reign in his recklessness and just not try to approach every tackle 110 miles and hour.

(-) Footwork In coverage, Elam sometimes suffers from wasted steps and it can lead to blown assignments. This is something that comes with more reps and working on the mental side of the game that we hope he irons out in his junior year.
